Rainbow party

We went along to our friends boys joint birthdays party on the weekend. A rainbow theme! Brilliant - except the weather was'nt. Cold and drizzly... I suppose I shouldn't complain though when the UK is having snow in November!

The boys had great fun and came home with a jar of rainbow playdough (D has had loads of fun with the different colours and glitter and putting it in and out of the jar in came in.

Check out here the birthday cake and where the idea came from. What a fantastic job Kym!

Christmas Goodies - Knitted food.

On the weekend I went to a community car boot sale which had some old ladies selling their hand knitted gifts. I thought these were quite amusing, reminding me of the knitted cake, sandwiches and tea sets that I had seen in a Christchurch art gallery a few years ago.

How much?
$5.00
Bargain!
They even let me take the paper plate they were displayed on.

Finally its happened to me...

I have been thinking about this blogging thing for a few years now.  I have finally taken up the challenge (and yes, I do believe it may be a challenge to be a regular blogger and keep time for my own crafting and arting and general 'domestic duties' ).
Perhaps it's some sort of nesting symptom (we are expecting our third bub) or maybe it is to help with the boredom - yes, I do find the option of being a SAHM incredibly dull at times.
Whatever my reasons, I hope to share some of what I am working on and general going ons in my home with whoever is happy to follow.

Over and out.
